Victoria’s most promising apprentice, Logan Bates appears to have the touch to Iluvcoffee with another win recorded for the duo at the Benalla meeting on Monday. The pair have combined for two wins and a placing in their last three starts and the young rider admitted it possibly should have been three for three acknowledging he may have left his run a fraction late when a fast finishing third at Bendigo in his previous start. However he judged his run to perfection on the four-year-old gelding on Monday with a blistering turn of foot to career away for a soft win on the line by 1.75L. The good looking son of Ilovethiscity is building on his profile bringing up his fouth win together with three minor placings from sixteen starts and acculminating over $90,000.00 in prizemoney earnings for his Breeder and Owner, Mr Bill Bowness.

Plague by feet issues, Co-Trainer Lee paid a special mention to his farrier, Danny for the tremendous job he has done in looking after the horses hooves and keeping him sound. At this stage Iluvcoffee will continue this preparation and the team indicated they will target a race at Caulfield in the coming weeks.
