“Flying Artie” was an exceptional juvenile and rated “Longines World Champion 3YO Sprinter” in 2016/2017. He was a Group winner at two, placing second in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes and third in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper. At three he won the stallion-making Group 1 “Coolmore Stakes” defeating “Astern, Star Turn, Russian Revolution, Derryn & Extreme Choice – All leading Sires now at stud.

The Colt:
We were in search of a precocious colt and believe we found one that ticked all our boxes based on physical appearance together with a pedigree to match. He was rated our No 1 colt at the recent Magic Millions Adelaide sale and was lucky enough to secure him at a reasonable price.

A mid-November foal he defies his birth date physically, with good size and bone for his age. He is agile and covers the ground with a decent overstep, leg confirmation is correct with no deviations at walk. A good length of rein combined with an alert head rounds off the total package. As an individual he has great presence and once fully matured will be an exceptional type.
Current Status:
The colt is currently having a break at Springmount in Romsey to unwind from the sales and he will begin the first phase of his education at the breakers in the coming months when the weather starts to turn.
