“A Dream Result”

Ultra consistent mare, “Dream For Alex” shed her bridesmaid status with a well deserved win in the “Highlands Cleaning Supplies” Maiden Plate’ over 1100m at Kilmore on November 9th.

Since joining the stable in April, the 4YO Domesday mare had finished a close 2nd on three other occasions so it was particularly rewarding to see her break finally through especially for her Owner/Breeders and long time friends, David, Jo’anne and Chris Gration.

Reece Wheeler gave the mare a perfect ride in transit and always looked to have the opposition covered approaching the home turn. The official margins were 0.5L x 0.1L with the mare eased down on the line. Reece continues his good form since returning to race riding in September after a long lay off from a shoulder injury.
