Debutant filly, Scillato opened her racing account in sensational style with a four length win on her home track base at Seymour on Thursday. Prepared by the Hope team, it was no surprise as the filly had always shown above average ability in her trials and jumpouts leading into this event. Ridden by Cory Parish the filly settled mid field and after a few anxious moments gained a run at the top of the straight and motored home to record an impressive win from her stablemate, La Meeting.

Co-Trainer Shannon said “She is not a great doing filly and is a little bit hot. She was going to trial in the morning but we decided to run her here as raceday experience is better than a trial.”

Bred and raced by Greg and Jenny White of Alpara Lodge, the filly is the only progeny of her dam, Supre, a multiple metropolitan winning mare formerly trained the Hope team. Wearing the famous colours of Alpara Lodge, the American Pharoah sired three-year-old filly will be taken along quietly over the next few weeks before the stable finds another suitable race. Based on her performance there will be plently of more wins in store as she progresses and comes of age.
