Anyone doing the stats for the Seymour meeting last week would have realised the excellent strike rate “Small Town Honey” has on her home track over 1600m. In her only two starts prior at course and distance she won both times and on Thursday she maintained a 100% strike rate when taking out the F/Mares BM64 1600m under Tahlia Hope. Drifting in the market Small Town Honey started at 8/1 and for those stat followers it was a decent return on their investment.

Small Town Honey, a 5YO mare by Magnus x Honey Bear was bred by Violet Town resident “Geoff Scott” and is raced together with his parents, “Dianne and Ian Scott” who made the trip down from Sydney. From her 15 starts, STH has now earned $65,575 in prize money and the stable will be looking to build on that again at the next Seymour meeting on October 8th.
