The start of a new Generation!

Tahlia Hope becomes the 3rd generation of the Hope family to embark on a career as a jockey when she wears the silks for the first time at Benalla today. In her second year of her jockey apprenticeship, she has been well groomed for this day and there will be some very nervous observers to witness this special ocassion.

A Champion show rider, Tahlia has made the transition over the past 2 years and gained valuable experience in the trials thanks to many Trainers who have supported her to gain an approval to ride in races.

Today is a new chapter in her career and she rides for the first time on stable horse “Proud Wolf” who she recently trialled at Cranbourne.
